Liam Payne  is a member of One Direction along with Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik.  1 D is an English-Irish boy pop band started when the guys were on the tv show the X Factor.  They signed with Simon Cowell's record label after being formed and finishing third in the 7th series of the  X Factor in 2010.
